The
Color Guard season has now come to a close, but what a great one it was! We are
looking forward to next season already and if you are too, be sure to look for
try-out dates sometime in May 2010!
2009 Color Guard Captains were Maddie Privette and Alex Davis. Color Guard
instructors were Christy Cone and Kristen Parrish Sroka.
Winter
Guard season is now underway! Like Color Guard, the unit spins equipment which
includes flags, rifles, and sabres. It is an indoor, winter sport which takes
place from December to March each year. Be sure to look for us at these competitions:
January 23rd, 2010 - Northern Nash High School February 6th, 2010 - West Johnston
High School February 20th, 2010 - Clayton High School March 6th, 2010
- Wakefield High School March 20th, 2010 - Green Hope High School
This
year's participants include: Alex Davis, Elizabeth Klein, Jessicka Mercer, Kaity
Paul, Alise Pocta, Ashley Poteat, Jacqui Rowley, Kaitlyn Sczepanski, Champree
Williams, and Kiiyana Williams. Winter Guard instructor is Christy Cone.
